Today we want to share with you a fantastic news from our COMPANY STAYS AT VALENCIA ENDANZA section: NRW Junior Ballet, Dortmund Ballet Youth Company (Germany) will offer a stay to one of the participants of Valencia Endanza 2017. This awarded student wil spend a week taking class and joining rehearsals with the NRW Junior Ballet. This stay is not mandatory and only wil be given when the guest teachers will find a suitable candidate..
Raimondo Rebeck, director and repetitor of NRW Junior Ballet will be one of the guest teachers and choreographers of our International Course. Rebeck will give classes to Classical II and Classical III and will teach a wo+orkshop of his own choreography for Classical III. All stays and scholarships will be announced at the Clousure Gala Valencia Endanza 2017 which will take place on Saturday 29th of July at Auditorio Torrente in which all participants will join the stage with professional dancers as Marijn Rademaker (Het Nationale Ballet), Carlos Pinillos and Filipa de Castro (Companhia Nacional de Bailado de Portugal), Xavier Benaque (Former Dancer, Ballet Nacional de España), Claudia Phlips and Joel Small (Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company, director Jacopo Godani).
Raimondo Rebeck’s career in brief…
Raimondo Rebeck, born in Berlin, received his training at Staatliche Ballettschule Berlin. As principal dancer at Staatsoper Berlin, Deutsche Opera Berlin and Aalto Ballet Essen, he is one of the most well known German dancers. He has won numerous national and international awards, for instance in Lausanne and Osaka. He also received the Berlin and German critics’ award. Roland Petit, Maurice Bejart and Rudolf Nurejev created leading parts specifically for him. He has closely collaborated with renowned artists such as William Forsythe, Jiří Kylián, Heinz Spoerli and Mauro Bigonzetti.
Since 2003, he has been a worldwide requested ballet master and choreographer. He worked for various houses in Monte Carlo, Tokyo, Basel, Vienna, Stuttgart, Zurich, Essen, Hong Kong, Washington, Montreal, and developed choreographies for companies in Munich, Stuttgart, New York, Karlsruhe, Gelsenkirchen, Berlin and Dortmund. He has committed himself to Ballet Dortmund as a guest ballet master since the season 2011/12.
